Romeo So Solid entered the Celebrity Big Brother house to replaces Lee Ryan
So Solid Crew‘s MC Romeo has reportedly signed up for Celebrity Big Brother as a last-minute replacement for Blue popstar Lee Ryan.
Ryan’s alleged fee demands apparently prompted Channel 5’s producers to ditch plans to have him in the house.
According to The Sun, UK garage star Romeo was the producers’ fourth choice after Tinchy Stryder, Wiley and Ryan.Romeo previously appeared on Channel 4 reality series The Games.
Michael Madsen, Loose Women actress Denise Welch, X Factor‘s Frankie Cocozza, Natasha Giggs and Nicola McLean are among the other celebrities rumoured to be taking part in the show.
Celebrity Big Brother starts on January 5 at 9pm on Channel 5.
The 31-year-old rapper was the 11th housemate to enter the country’s most famous house last during the launch show of the second series. Romeo was thought to be on stand-by to enter the house after Blue’s Lee Ryan dropped out last minute over disputes with his fee.
Romeo looked dapper in a dark blue suit and appeared calm as he greeted his new housemates which include lingerie model Georgia Salpa, Kill Bill’s Michael Madsen andX Factor bad boy Frankie Coccoza.
The rapper rose to fame as one of the lead members of garage troupe So Solid Crew more than ten years ago and enjoyed a brief successful solo career which saw him collaborate with Christina Millian.
